Flagstaff Trails Passport

The Flagstaff Trails Passport is designed for you to easily and conveniently select trails from a specially procured list intended to assist you in avoiding trail congestion and provide you a better experience. You know, that exhilarating “I got out of the office and into the world’s largest contiguous Ponderosa Pine forest” feeling. #PledgeWildFLG when you follow the Flagstaff Trails Passport to earn great prizes to aid your future adventures.

Trails are assigned points based on level of difficulty, with easy trails assigned 1 point, moderate trails assigned 2 points, and difficult trails assigned 3 points.

1 point – Check-in at just 1 trail to receive 1 point which earns you a commemorative sticker, to be picked-up from the official Flagstaff Visitor Center, 1 East Route 66, in the historic train station.

5 points – Check-in and earn a cumulative of at least 5 points which earns you a wooden postcard, to be picked up from the official Flagstaff Visitor Center. Did you know the Visitor Center can send your postcards immediately upon pick-up? Consider inviting your friends to your next trail summit and ask them to #PledgeWildFLG!

10 points – You must love our trails as much as we do! Check-in and earn a cumulative of at least 10 points which allows Discover Flagstaff to make a one-time donation in YOUR name to FTI (Flagstaff Trails Initiative). Now that’s really giving back and supporting what you love! This prize donation prize offer is valid for the first 400 people checking-in at the program’s approved trails, accumulating the correct points and reporting through the digital passport process. The prize expires upon the first 400 awards or by December 31, 2023, whichever occurs first. (One per-person.)

15 points – 15 points, WOW, job well done! Please pick up one commemorative fanny pack at the official Flagstaff Visitor Center to take on your future Flagstaff hikes, because let’s face it, at this “point” we both know you’ll be back. (One per-person.)

Arizona Trail - Anderson Mesa
Easy, Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 5 h 53 min to complete. This trail is great for backpacking, camping, horseback riding, and hiking. The best times to visit this trail are in Spring, Summer, and Fall.
Arizona Trail - Hart Prairie
Difficult, Generally considered a challenging route, it takes an average of 5 h 39 min to complete. This trail is great for hiking, horse riding, and mountain biking.
Arizona Trail - Marshall Lake
Moderate, Generally considered a moderately challenging route, it takes an average of 6 h 0 min to complete. This is a popular trail for backpacking, camping, and hiking, but you can still enjoy some solitude during quieter times of day. The best times to visit this trail are April through November. Fall Favorite - Abineau - Bear Jaw Trails

Heart Trail - Junction with Sandy Seep Trail

Heart Trail - Junction with Sunset Trail

While trail access is FREE for Arb Members and children under 5, non-members who are 18 and up are $12.00, youths 5-17 are $6.00, and dogs, must be leashed, are an additional $2.00.
